Thanks to people like Michael Ledo who are generous with
their time! Michael put Hans Good's will online and it solved a mystery in the Bare
family...I have seen several entries that have Fronica Good (Han's daughter) marrying
Abraham's father, and other entries where she married Abraham. Based on the will of
Fronica's father, we now know that she was Abraham's wife as
stated below. Kudos to Michael and everyone else who contributes to genealogy
for the good of all!
So, could there be two Fronica Goods?
maybe, but the LDS record above states that Anna Barbara FREDERICK is
married to Hans Jagely BAR, and I think their records are right.
Why is it sometimes Hans Jagely Bar
and other times Jacob Jagely Bar? Is this really the same person?
Yes it is probable. See "you know, what's his name" (index,
left column) for some important information about the name 'Hans'. |

HANS GOOD of Leacock in the county of Lancaster, and province of Pennsylvania yeoman,
being weak in body, but of perfect mind and memory, thanks be given unto God therefore,
calling unto mind the mortality of my body, and knowing that it is appointed for all men
once to die, I do make and ordain this my last will and testament, that is to say,
principally and first of all, I give and recommend my soul into the hands of God that gave
it, and for my body I recommend it to the earth, to be buried in a christian liek [sic]
and decent manner at the discretion of my executors nothing doubting but at the general
resurrection, I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God, and as touching
such wordly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life, I give devise
and dispose of the same in the following manner and form.
Imprimis, it is my will, and I do order that in the first place, all my just debts and
funeral charges be paid and satisfied.
Item I give and bequeath unto my son JACOB the sum of ten pounds, and to my son PETER the
sum of ten pounds, and to my daughter ANN the wife of JOHN LANDES the sum of thirty
pounds, and my daughter CHRISTINA the sum of ten pounds and the remainder and residue of
my estate rael and personal shall be equally divided between my children namely, JACOB,
FRONICA, the wife of ABRAHAM BEAR, CATHARINE, the wife of JOHN BEAR, ANN the wife of DAVID
BEAR, BARBARA the wife of HENRY BEAR, CHRISTINA and PETER, so that the division be equally
mad with what they received in my lifetime, and shall remain, and I do hereby constitute
and depute my beloved son in laws ABRAHAM BEAR and JOHN BEAR to be the only and sole
executors of this my last will and testament, and I do hereby utterly disallow, revoke and
disannul all and every other former testaments wills and executors by me in any way before
this time named willed and bequeathed, ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my
last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 23rd
day of January 1747/48.
